Unleash your creativity and learn to craft stunning, unique containers for gifts, gatherings or your own personal collections. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover the art of transforming flat paper into beautiful mini boxes, pockets and pouches of various shapes. 

 

Going beyond standard crafting, we will experiment with new ways to use commercial decorative papers, plus hand-painted and printed collage papers that you can create yourself. This process-oriented class is for all skill levels and encourages experimentation with colors, patterns and shapes to create personalized paper art. 

I will share samples, demonstrate the process, answer questions and work with artists individually during the workshop.  You'll leave with a collection of unique, handmade paper containers and the skills to continue crafting your own creative paper projects. All materials provided.

Online Acrylic Skins (Recorded) 

Acrylic Skins offer so many possibilities! Discover the range of acrylic paints, gels, mediums & pastes that can be used to create 'Skins'. These techniques are an excellent way to develop translucent or opaque color, pattern, imagery, text and texture, incorporating layers into your paintings, collages, sculptures or mixed media works. Gain a broad understanding of product, material, method, tips & tricks. Think of this as just another way to create your own unique collage & sculpture material!

Although there won't be a 'live' Zoom class, the recording link and a detailed summary will be emailed directly to each registered artist. In Person Mixed Media Textiles & Acrylic

Discover a range of techniques, tips & tricks that can transform your Fiber Art! We will explore a series of acrylic products that can be used to create incredible surfaces, textures and patterns! These methods can be used to create sculpture, basketry, vessels, book arts, installation or 2 dimensional art. The focus is not intended for 'everyday' wearable art however definitely a possibility for costume. This workshop will open your eyes to a whole new approach in working with textiles.

I will share samples, demonstrate the process, answer questions and work with artists individually during the workshop.  Each artist will create samples to take home, which will serve as a valuable reference for future projects. All materials provided.

In Person Garlands & Flourishes

Discover how to transform paper into festive garlands & flourishes! In this hands-on workshop, we will explore new ways to use commercial decorative, found and hand-painted and printed collage papers. In Person Image Transfers & Acrylic 

Come explore how to use Acrylic Mediums & Gels to transfer imagery into your artwork! This technique is an excellent way to incorporate images & text layers into your paintings, collages or other mixed media works.

In Person Fabric Painting with Acrylics 

Discover a range of techniques that can transform your Fiber Art, creating incredible surfaces and patterns! We will explore Golden Acrylic Fluid, High Flow & Heavy Body Paints, in combination Textile Medium that can be heat set, creating a soft hand that can also be laundered. Whether you choose to use your fabrics for art to wear, functional art, wall hangings, sculpture or art installations, this workshop will open your eyes to a whole new approach.
