Printmaking: Collagraph & Gel Plates

Learn how to create textured collagraph plates that can be used for printing directly on paper or combined with gel plate printmaking. Collagraphy is a technique where textured materials like acrylic, paper, fabric, and found objects are glued to a rigid surface to create a printing plate. The resulting textured plate is then 'inked', and the design is transferred to paper, creating a collagraph print.  Printmaking is an excellent way to create your own supply of papers for collage, book arts, cards or art that can stand on its own. Each artist will create samples to take home, which will serve as a valuable reference for future projects.  All materials provided, FREE 2 hour parking.
