"With each sculpture I am visualizing forms found in nature, although each is my own interpretation, an abstraction of the original. As nature builds cell by cell, my sculptures are created stitch by stitch. Using stainless steel wire as my structure, I begin each piece in the center, then gradually increase stitches, spiraling outward row by row, until I reach the desired form. Although I don't adhere strictly to the mathematics of the Fibonacci formula, I certainly appreciate how this phenomena is echoed so clearly in the world of nature and art."
